Shockwing and Deep Impact are the daughter and son of Thorne and Scamps's Aethon. They were spawned one rebellious night, when Thorne decided to act out in an attempt to gain his father's attention. It failed, and resulted in two very different but similar foals. He resents them, because they can cross into the other districts, whereas he, as an unacknowledged direct descendant of a God, cannot.
Shockwing is devious, but full of pride. She knows she's not the only mech-type in the North, but she tries to be everything Wildstrike and Cytr aren't. She fully believes in the Light movement, even if her father doesn't.She wants to make her father proud, by calling out to Cae on her own, attempting to coax the dragon into showing some interest in his own offspring. She's often found skittering around the edges of the Shattenland, flaring her wings and trying to call attention to herself.
Deep Impact, on the other hand, is calm and quiet. He ponders most of the time, wishing his own father would love him. He's the second generation of Thornes, though he isn't restrained by his father's decisions. He plans to join the WLNH when he's old enough to leave his father's side and survive the trip on his own, though it seems that the prospect of leaving gets darker and darker each day, with the approaching hyenas.
