Aliss's body was created so that V'Arikor might have a body to inhabit when he ever decided to rejoin the living. However, the passive, basic programming of the robotic components was flawed, and turned itself into a personality. Aliss is now a fully-functional individual, though she rebels against her Creators and their Gods, preferring to ask for the guidance of B'Arivoi and Dalin.
She has discovered that her programming betrays her at times. When she desires to be sneaky and try to escape Shiva's guards, her body will do something that prevents her escape, though it may seem that it is trying to help her.
