Ma'at is a creation made by Cae in an agreement with B'Arivoi and Dalin. The latter two knew that there was a necessity for this, and Cae blindly agreed. She appeared to Horus and courted him. Upon copulation, she disappeared into the Nothing that all spontaneous creations go to, and the pup that was conceived- Anubis- was thrust into his father's body to carry. Cae occasionally brings her back, using her as a puppet to help stop his Other, V'Arikor.

Horus is a lone wolf that lives on the edge of the Schattenland. He fell truly in love with Ma'at, and kept his devotion to her to his dying day. He is a lonely one, the markings on his back believed to be a curse of some sort. He carried Anubis to term, and gave birth to the little pup with a little tampering from Cae himself, with B'Arivoi's influence and encouragement. He died not long after Anubis was old enough to no longer need his father-mother.
